Ballater Charitable Chiels Texas Scramble

Test your golf skills amidst breathtaking scenery in aid of the Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund at the Euan MacDonald Centre.

Ballater Golf Club, with its breathtaking scenery and challenging golf course, proudly hosts the Ballater Charitable Chiels Texas Scramble 2018.

Join golfers from all over Scotland to win the Sandy Barclay Memorial Jug. This annual event can see up to 70 teams playing 19 holes in one day - the 19th hole being a complimentary dram in the Club House after!

About the Texas Scramble

The Scramble was first organised by Sandy Barclay after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND). The Ballater Charitable Chiels and Sandy joined forces and since then the Chiels have been instrumental in raising money in aid of motor neurone disease research and causes local to Ballater. Following Sandy’s death the Chiels and Sandy’s widow Lindsay have continued to organise this annual event.

To date the Ballater Texas Scramble has raised over £162,000 in aid of motor neurone disease research, in addition to tens of thousands for community projects in and around Ballater.
