Maja is a PhD student in Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh, working under the supervision of Dr. Chris Sibley and Prof Mathew Horrocks. Her research explores the role of TDP-43 mis-splicing events in the development of motor neuron disease. By investigating these processes, Maja aims to enhance understanding of disease mechanisms and uncover potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Prior to her PhD, Maja completed an MScR in Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, which included a year of research abroad at ETH Zurich.
